The document provides that life and health insurance of the competitors is the binding condition for holding of a sports competition. Organizers of the sports competition shall provide life and health insurance of the competitors.
It was stressed during the discussion that some heads of sports federations doubt the relevance of adopting the bill in the version offered, as this could lead to significant increase of sports competition costs.
By results of consideration, the Committee resolved to hold the hearings “Improvement of legislative provision of life and health insurance of sportsmen who participate in competitions” to give the floor to representatives of leading sports organizations, insurance companies, academics, and other specialists for elaboration of balanced proposals to the bill.
